I'm still too excited to write much. I'm just letting my brain absorb the awesome magnitude of this day and what it means for all us.
This is a new day, a new start. While the economic crisis will most assuredly continue for several more months, I have a renewed hope that a team of great minds are focused on a solution.
So, on this day, whether you were a supporter of President Obama's or you hoped for a different candidate, I hope we can all come together as friends and countrymen.
It's a new day.

It sure is a new day and a great day too!!!
I had goosebumps and was teary eyed!!!
Just watched the parade and how cool he looked strolling down Pennsylvania Ave!!!
Awesome!!!
People on the streets of Berkeley are happy and smiling. It's a fantastic feeling. And now I have replaced the Paula Abdul in my head with Nina Simone's "Feelin' Good."
I'm awfully hopeful about the future. It's been a long 8 years.
Woo hoo! I'm so excited, it's not even funny. Happy inauguration day, here's to better times.
Well said, m'lady!
To better days ahead!
*clink*
Yep, but I'm impatient. I want change now! Think it can happen?
I did not vote for him but I can't deny that as I watched him take the Oath of the highest office in world I had a smile on my face that I could not get rid of. I was truly proud.
Even here in Australia we are celebrating a new era. Obama gives me the chills. In a good way.
And I watched the whole darn thing.
But I will miss the Bush bashing. ;)
